This artificial plant, made with artificial materials like plastic stripes and strings, will have the characteristics of a Genetically Modified  Organism (GMO). The GMO-plant will grow and spread invasively during the following days. In the artist installation <strong>\u201ctransg\u00eanicos\u201d<\/strong> the artists reflect the risks of Gen-technology and their impression of the social discourse on GMO within Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>read more\/texto portugues em baixo&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The installation is split into three parts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <em>opening-performance<\/em> will take place on <strong>Saturday, 11.8.07 at 3pm<\/strong>. It shows the structure and growing of the GMO-plant.<\/li>\n<li>The <em>second live-act\/performance<\/em> on <strong>Sunday, 12.8.07 at 3pm<\/strong>, is about the GMO-spread and the scientific risk assessment.<\/li>\n<li>The third and <em>final public performance<\/em> on <strong>Tuesday, 14.8.07 at 7pm<\/strong>, integrates the artists&#8217; impression of the current social and political discourse in Brasil into the \u201ctransg\u00eanicos\u201d-installation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TAKE PART IN OUR PROJECT!<br \/>\nFill in the online questionnaire and we will calculate you \u201e<strong>Your opinion on GE\/GMO as an artistic picture\u201c<\/strong>! Est\u00e1 planta artificial, que usa materiais como pl\u00e1stico e cordas, ter\u00e1 as caracter\u00edsticas de um organismo geneticamente modificado. A planta GMO ir\u00e1 crescer e se espalhar invasivamente durante os dias seguintes. Na instala\u00e7\u00e3o de arte <strong>\u201ctransg\u00eanicos\u201d<\/strong> os artistas demonstram os riscos dos produtos geneticamente modificados e sua influ\u00eancia junto a sociedade.<br \/>\nA instala\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edstica \u00e9 dividida em tr\u00eas partes:<\/p>\n<p>A performance de abertura acontecer\u00e1 no <strong>s\u00e1bado, 11.8.07 \u00e0s 15 horas<\/strong>. Ela mostrar\u00e1 a estrutura e o crescimento da planta geneticamente modificada.<\/p>\n<p>O segundo ato\/performance ser\u00e1 realizado no <strong>domingo, \u00e0s 15 horas<\/strong> destacando a expans\u00e3o e a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica dos riscos dos transg\u00eanicos.<\/p>\n<p>A terceira performance ter\u00e1 lugar na <strong>ter\u00e7a, \u00e0s 19 horas<\/strong>, registrando as impress\u00f5es que os artistas tiveram sobre discurso pol\u00edtico e social no Brasil sobre o tema transg\u00eanicos e sobre a repercuss\u00e3o da instala\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>\nA instala\u00e7\u00e3o no museu Oscar Niemeyer \u00e9 parte de um <strong>projeto internacional art\u00edstico<\/strong> que Hina Struver e Matti Wuthrich ir\u00e3o desenvolver sobre os riscos dos transg\u00eanicos no Brasil, Su\u00ed\u00e7a e Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>No site http:\/\/www.regrowingeden.ch h\u00e1 um <strong>question\u00e1rio did\u00e1tico sobre GMOs \u2013 as respostas ser\u00e3o transformadas imediatamente em uma figura art\u00edstica ou uma planta virtual<\/strong>. Desde que terminou seu mestrado ela tem feito v\u00e1rios projetos e bolsas de estudo em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses.<br \/>\n<strong> M\u00e4tti W\u00fcthrich<\/strong> graduado em Ci\u00eancia Ambiental no Swiss Federal Institute of Technology de Zurique.
